The Evolve boards are one of the smoothest riding boards I've rode. These are known for their 200 watt 7 amp lowest watt and lowest amperage motors on the electric skateboard market in the higher end market.

Most of the ones that have this type of configuration are the types you see in kids Razor scooters. But these have 5000 and 5500 rpm motors. Evolve has engineered these to go 20 miles and up to 22 mph on one battery charge. They are the greenest of all high performance boards. They take a little longer to reach maximum speed but worth it if you need to travel 20 miles somewhere and have no car. They are around 17 pounds for their lightest board and is the lightest for the fastest board I've tried.

Their snub nose board is super discreet. No one even knows its an electric skateboard. It is not noisy at all like the cheap import boards. This is one of the reasons I use this in the streets at night. I can't use my Eglide as its a brushed motor and much noiser. The chain version is even noisier. It will definitely wake the neighbors. They ahve already called the police on me for my Goped. I had to get rid of it finally.

The Evolve boards use the best trucks and wheels and bushings that you can buy at any skate shop. If you ask any skate board shop about the name brands of their parts they use on their skate board, they each have told me that there is nothing to upgrade to. Evolve has the best wheels you can get. They are the most expensive you can get at every skate store. Their boards are 7 ply Maple. Most of the cheap imports have the least expensive wheels and components but they are still fun to ride but you just can't ride them as long before replacing the wheels, etc.

There are some cheap Chinese imports that are powerful as far as the motor is concerned but the board to me sucks. And their are some nice boards but the motors are not as good. Seems that everyone is trying to cut costs except a few companies. The Eglides cost the most and they have a niche market but many people can't afford them. The imports usually cost way under 1000. You can get them on the internet for under 500 bucks. They are good unless you tried something better. If you never tried an Evolve board and you only tried the cheap import boards, then you have probably have nothing to compare it to.

The amperage of the Evolve board is very low. Put it this way, if you stop at a crack in the side walk, it might not even accelerate over it. But once over it, then it build up speed. A 600 watt motor would power right over it but this motor might take off 25% off your total run time and maybe 35 to 50% of the run time if going up hills.

The cops never pull me over on this board. It looks just like all the others. I do try to not go up hills when cops come by. On the Eglide I got pulled over twice. They thought it was a gasoline engine at first. I stopped riding the Goped in the city when my friend got pulled over. They busted him for not having head lights, no insurance, no break lights, no turn signal. It costed him about 600 bucks in tickets.

The only thing I don't like is that it takes about 4 hours to charge it even with it being infused. The EMF from the lower amperage motor is the least of all boards I tested. I still have the entire board infused on every moving part. When their is speed wobble on over 20 mph, I definitely know the infusions are working. I put about 6 infusions on the board. The higher wattage the board is the more infusions that are needed.

This board is most popular for those needing a board that they can carry around and don't need the torque for super fast accelerations. It does go to 22 mph and moves medium fast up hills and really does go for about 20 miles. Most boards if going up hills go about 25 to 50% less run time than this one that I have tested. I can cruise about 2 hours if going at 10mph.

Take my skate quiz and I will let you know if I think this board is best for you based on the answers you choose.
